Abstract:
Objetivo: Identificar os principais aspectos clínicos e epidemiológicos de complicações da pele periestomal em pacientes ostomizados. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, realizada nas bases de dados SciELO, PubMed, Scopus e Web of Science, por meio dos seguintes descritores: “peristomal”, “skin”, “complicances” e “complications”. Foram incluídos estudos publicados entre 2018 a 2022 e que analisaram a carga clínico-epidemiológica das complicações periestomais em pacientes adultos com algum tipo de ostomia. Resultados: Sete artigos compuseram a amostra final deste estudo, com maior frequência de estudos retrospectivos (n: 04). As principais complicações periestomais identificadas foram: dermatite irritativa, ferida periestomal, retração e trauma mecânico. As demais complicações incluíram eritema, edema, secreção e dor periestomal, pápulas, pústulas e vesículas, prurido, folicolite, pioderma gangrenoso, exantema fúngico e granuloma. Considerações finais: Considera-se que existe uma elevada incidência de complicações periestomais em pacientes ostomizados, de tal modo que o manejo dessas complicações desempenha um papel crítico na melhoria da qualidade de vida desses pacientes.
