Abstract:
Es werden Erfahrungen über die Bildung einer Oberflächenschicht mit erhöhter Brechzahl an Kalomel‐Einkristallen durch Diffusion aus der Gasphase über dem kristallinen Hg 2 Br 2 beschrieben. Es wurden die Werte des Diffusionskoeffizienten bei drei verschiedenen Temperaturen (312, 352,5 und 367,5 °C) und durch die Feststellung der charakteristischen Werte des Frequenzfaktors ( D 0 = 7 · 10 24 ) und der Aktivierungsenergie des Diffusionsprozesses ( Q = 421,5 kJ · mol −1 ) — seine Temperaturabhängigkeit annähernd bestimmt. An der Oberfläche der Probe wurde die Bildung der Gleichgewichtskonzentration von Br festgestellt, die der Bildung der Verbindung mit der Zusammensetzung 3 Hg 2 Cl 2 · · 2 Hg 2 Br 2 entspricht. Es wurden insgesamt 4 verschiedene Diffusionsoberflächenschichten mit erhöhten Brechzahlen in einer Tiefe von 14 bis 342 μm gebildet, wobei die Brechzahlen maximal um 1,6 bis 6,3% erhöht wurden. Das neuentwickelte Verfahren ermöglicht die Bildung einer lichtleitenden Oberflächen schicht an Kalomel‐Einkristallen.
