Abstract:
Objetivo: Realizar análise do perfil de conhecimento do corpo discente de uma faculdade privada do município de Belém/PA, a respeito do uso indiscriminado de antibióticos e a resistência bacteriana. Metodologia: Realizou-se uma pesquisa descritiva, de caráter quantitativo e qualitativo, a qual possibilitou analisar o perfil dos 207 participantes. De maneira anônima, sem coleta de dados pessoais obteve-se a participação de estudantes dos cursos de Farmácia, Enfermagem, Fisioterapia, Biomedicina, Direito, Administração e Engenharia civil, com dados coletados através de um questionário elaborado por meio da plataforma Google Forms. Resultados: De modo geral, a maioria os acadêmicos possuíam conhecimento sobre o uso irracional de antibióticos e a resistência bacteriana, afirmando estarem de acordo com a legislação RDC 20/2011, todavia a maioria relatou utilizar antibioticoterapia de maneira empírica, sem orientação médica. As demais respostas obtidas aos questionamentos aplicados, apontam para a mesma linha de resultados, onde a grande maioria do público em estudo é consciente da importância de cumprir um tratamento com antimicrobianos pelo tempo correto e estão de acordo com a necessidade da prescrição médica para compra dessa classe de medicamentos. Conclusão: A pesquisa evidenciou resultados positivos quanto ao grau de conhecimento dos acadêmicos acerca do tema em discussão, porém em contradição, a maioria dos entrevistados relatou práticas de automedicação. Com isso foi possível traçar um perfil de indivíduos informados, mas ainda não suficientemente conscientes da dimensão do crescente problema de saúde pública o qual tornou-se a disseminação de cepas bacterianas multirresistentes.
