Abstract:
Climbing sports are having an exponential growth nowadays, placing unique demands on the upper body, so that injuries to this region are common. This paper discusses the various types of injuries that can occur, including strains, sprains, dislocations, and fractures, and explores the factors that contribute to their development. It is necessary to understand the preventive measures such as proper warm-up, strengthening exercises, and proper technique, as well as treatment options for climbers who experience upper body injuries. Ultimately, proper training, conditioning, and safety measures are of utmost importance in preventing and managing upper body injuries in climbers.
