Abstract:
Zu kritischer Institutionenforschung gehört, über die Herrschaftsfunktionen von gesellschaftlichen Institutionen, ihrer Organisationen (Apparate/Instanzen) und die von ihnen verwalteten und angewendeten Kategorisierungen aufzuklären. Mit der Anwendung des Etiketts ,Verbrechen‘ beteiligt sich die Polizei als eine Instanz an der Institution ,Verbrechen und Strafe‘, das heißt an legitimierter sozialer Ausschließung (Zuarbeit zu Bestrafung, Inszenierung von Bedrohungsszenarien, Verwaltung der Paria-Bevölkerung). Zu kritischer Polizeiforschung gehört daher auch ein Dauer-Monitoring polizeilich betriebener ,Kriminalisierung‘ von Konflikten, Lebensweisen, Ärgernissen und Lebenskatastrophen. Einen theoretischen Rahmen bieten Etikettierungstheorien und Ideologiekritik. Positiv gewendet: Im Verbund mit kritischer Alltags- und Kulturforschung kann kritische Polizeiforschung zudem für die intellektuelle Verstehbarkeit kriminalisierter Konflikte und Lebensweisen sorgen und damit für die Wiederaneignung von Konflikten.
