Abstract:
This article presents a clinical case of a 32-year-old patient who underwent surgery for bladder exstrophy (uretero-ileostomy) at the age of 1 year 8 months. By the time of admission, the patient had already undergone percutaneous nephrolithotripsy twice on the right side for staghorn stone in the right kidney, suffered from recurrent chronic pyelonephritis, bilateral ureteral strictures and bilateral ureterohydronephrosis. Conversion of ureterosigmostomy to heterotopic urinary reservoir with continent stoma diversion was performed with satisfactory results.
