Abstract:
Ein erheblich niedrigeres Redoxpotential weisen cyclische Selenocystin(Sec, Sec)‐Peptide gegenüber analogen Sec, Cys‐ und vor allem Cys, Cys‐Peptiden auf. Dieser Befund, der mit entsprechend modifizierten Glutaredoxin‐Octapeptiden erhalten wurde (‐381, ‐326 bzw. ‐180 mV; pH 7.0) [Gl. (1); × = S, Se; DTT = Dithiothreit], weist auf einen neuen Ansatz zum Design produktiver Intermediate auf dem oxidativen Faltungspfad von synthetischen Peptiden und rekombinanten Proteinen hin. Darüber hinaus ist an eine Verwendung der Selenoderivate zur Herstellung von Schwermetallanaloga für die Kristallstrukturanalyse zu denken. magnified image
