Abstract:
Zur Reduktion der CO 2 -Emissionen kommen im Straßenverkehr vermehrt Kraftstoffe bzw. Kraftstoffkomponenten biogenen Ursprungs zum Einsatz. Diese Beimischungen verändern die bisherigen Eigenschaften der Kraftstoffe. Es treten bei metallischen Werkstoffen unterschiedliche Formen der Korrosion auf, wie elektrochemische Korrosionsarten infolge Wasseraufnahme und die chemische Alkoholatkorrosion. Aussagefähige Prüfmethoden und Einrichtungen zur Nachbildung der in Biokraftstoffen möglichen Korrosionsarten wurden durch gemeinsame Anstrengungen der deutschen Automobilindustrie, deren Zulieferindustrie und des Instituts für Werkstoffkunde entwickelt [1]. Neben der Bewertung des Korrosionsverhaltens von Werkstoffen bzw. Beschichtungen in biogenen Kraftstoffen tragen diese Verifikationsansätze in Ergänzung zu grundlegenden Untersuchungen zum Verständnis der für die Degradation wesentlichen Vorgänge bei und dienen zur Prävention von durch Korrosion verursachten Schäden.
