Abstract:
Oligogalacturonide perception in tomato roots or shoots triggers differential transient local responses, but also a myriad of systemic responses at the metabolic, transcriptomic and enzymatic level leading to pathogen resistance. The results highlight the key role of roots in the regulation of these systemic responses.
