Abstract:
Insects are the largest animal group in the world and are ecologically and economically extremely important. This importance of insects is reflected by the existence of currently 24 insect genome projects. Our perspective discusses the state‐of‐the‐art of these genome projects and the impacts that they have on basic insect science and pest control. Copyright © 2007 Society of Chemical Industry
