    Abstract: Objective : Reading is a crucial academic behavior, which directly affects the formation of personality and develops people's thinking. In the higher education environment, reading culture helps students acquire new knowledge quickly and effectively. However, in recent years, young people and students tend to be lazy to read books, afraid of reading academic books while prefer reading comics and novels. At the same time, the dominance of the internet and audio-visual equipment makes reading in schools and universities become less attractive. This study was conducted with two objectives: (1) To describe the current situation of reading culture; and (2) To identify some factors affecting the reading culture of full-time bachelor students in Hanoi University of Public Health in 2019. Thereby, contributing to raise students' awareness about the roles of reading and providing information to help improving the quality and performance of the university’s library. Methods: The study was conducted on 420 full-time bachelor students from the first year to the fourth year, belonging to four majors of the Hanoi University of Public Health in 2019. Main findings: The study results showed that among 420 full-time bachelor students, 41.0% read books on a regular basis and 80.0% liked reading books. With regression bionary logistic analasys, associated factors with reading frequency includes: Going to library weekly (OR=1,87; p=0,004; CI95%: 1,22 – 2,84) and Completed reading the document assigned by teachers (OR=1,61; p=0,043; CI95%: 1,01 – 2,55). In addition, students who were reading addiction were likely to read all the book assigned, which was higher than the students who did not like reading. Conclusions: With full-time Bachelor students at Hanoi University of Public Health, percentages of students with frequent reading behavior were not high in general. However, it could be seen that the reading behavior of students was influenced by the teachers’ activities. Therefore, teachers should enhance checking books and course materials that students have read before classes as well as setting a criteria on the minimum number of academic books students should read while doing their assignments so that students are more aware of the importance of academic reading while studying at university. Abstract: Objective: Health science students (HSS) are among the group of frontline healthcare providers who are likely to be exposed to SARS-CoV-2 by working with infected patients. With vaccines being one of the most crucial solutions to stop the pandemic, high COVID-19 vaccination coverage must be achieved in this group as soon as the vaccines are available. This research aimed to assess the COVID-19 vaccination acceptance rate and its associated factors among health science students in Vietnam. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study, which surveyed online 8873 students in six health science universities in Vietnam, following the Health Belief Model (HBM) framework. Results: In this study, 84.3% of students accepting the COVID-19 vaccines, 14.7% of students being undecided for vaccination, and 1% of students not accepting vaccination. Determinants of COVID-19 vaccination acceptance included their school year, self-reported health status, allergy histories, susceptibility in risk perception, and factors of the HBM model included perceived benefits and cues to action (p 〈 0.01). In contrast, perceived barriers had a negative association with the probability of vaccine acceptance (p 〈 0.01). These results should be used as scientific evidence to support the development of planning strategies to optimize vaccination uptake and success in vaccination campaigns for both health science students and the general population. Conclusion: Health science students participating in the study had a high rate of COVID-19 vaccination acceptance. The theoretical framework recognized factors that influence vaccine acceptance. These are considered evidence for the development of planning strategies to optimize the vaccination uptake and offer success in vaccination campaigns for both health science students and the general population.

    Abstract: Objective: To identify the disabilities among children under 16 years of age being managed in Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province in 2020. Methods: Cross-sectional study design was employed, there were 228 children with disabilities aged 1 to 15 years old in Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province. Regarding types of disability: Children with mobility difficulties made up the highest percentage (50.0%), followed by children with learning difficulties (17.1%) and difficulties in listening and speaking (14.0%). The levels of disability were mild (6.6%), severe (73.2%), and especially severe (20.2%). The most common cause of disability was congenital (91.2%). The percentage of children with a disability for 5 years was 71.0%. Among children with disabilities, 50% fall within the category of mobility difficulties. Most children had severe or especially severe disabilities. Most of these disabilities were congenital. It is crucial to develop programs for early detection and early treatment of children with disabilities in the community as well as to promote rehabilitation programs at home. It is essential to provide education for mothers about health during pregnancy in order to ensure adequate nutrition for mothers and children, periodical antenatal check-ups, and the prevention of infection and injury which will all help reduce congenital disabilities. Keywords: Children with disabilities, under 16 years old, Thanh Hoa province.

    Abstract: Objective: BRAF activating mutations represents approximately 10% colorectal cancer (CRC) patients who are associated with a poor prognosis in stage II, III and IV. Therefore, to better understand the antitumor effects of Selumetinib in BRAF V600E -mutated CRC, gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) of gene expression profile of BRAFV 600E - mutated HT-29 cells treated of Selumetinib is proposed in this study. Methods: The differentially expressed genes across the comparison of groups of non- treated and treated of Selumetinib in BRAF V600E -mutated HT-29 cells were analyzed by GSEA. Results: We identified the significant pathways of DNA dependent DNA replication, DNA replication, regulation of DNA replication, cell activation, leukocyte activation, receptor complex, endoplasmic reticulum membrane, RNA processing, RRNA processing, amino acid transmembrane transporter activity, nucleolar part, ribonucleoprotein complex, ribosome biogenesis and assembly and regulation of protein modification process for the upregulated genes and the significant pathways of response to hypoxia, response to extracellular stimulus, ATPase coupled to transmembrane movement of ions, ATPase coupled to transmembrane movement of ions phosphorylative mechanism, lipase activity, MAP kinase activity, phospholipase activity and actin filament for the downregulated genes relevant to resistance of Selumetinib in BRAF V600E - mutated HT-29 cells. Our data revealed that GLI2, IL8, LAT2, ICOSLG, TLR4, SPINK5, HDAC4, LAT and TGFB1 are the upregulated important genes and PDIA2, TGFB2, GIPR and GCGR are the importantly downregulated genes associated with resistance of BRAF V600E -mutated HT-29 cells to Selumetinib. Conclusion: We identified the upregulated and/or downregulated genes significantly associated with the resistance of Selumetinib in BRAF V600E -mutated HT-29 cells. These top upregulated and/or downregulated genes have significant value in prediction of sensitivity of CRC patients to Selumetinib and in identification of effective combination strategy for treatment of CRC patients.

    Abstract: Objective: Hodgkin lymphoma patients who relapsed/progressed early after autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) usually have poor prognoses. Results from clinical trials have demonstrated Brentuximab vedotin (BV)’s significant clinical effectiveness for consolidation therapy after ASCT for patients who have high risk of relapse/progress. An economic evaluation study for Vietnamese CHL patients is necessary and can provide useful evidence for policymakers. Methods: A multi-stage economic evaluation model consisting of two partitioned survival models was used to estimate incurring costs and effectiveness from health insurance perspective for two hypothetical groups of Vietnamese adult CHL patients who have high risk of relapse/progression, one received standard care and the other received BV consolidation plus standard care as post-ASCT care. Necessary healthcare services were identified via Ministry of Health guidelines and Vietnamese clinical opinions. Efficacy parameters were taken from published systematic review and randomized controlled trials results. Model costs and utility inputs were adapted for Vietnamese context via relevant published literature, guidelines, regulations, and clinical opinions. Model cycle of 1 week and life-time horizon was used. Discounting rate of 3% was applied for cost and effectiveness. Results: Consolidation with BV post-ASCT was estimated to increase treatment cost by 654,502,745 VND per patient, increased 1.295 life years and 2.153 QALYs. Incremental cost-effectiveness ratios were estimated at 505,465,854 VND/LY and 304,045,395 VND/QALY. Conclusions: BV consolidation was not cost-effective compared to 3GDP threshold, however, with an appropriate risk-sharing mechanism, the intervention can be cost-effective, improve patients access to the effective treatment and maintain equity in healthcare.

    Abstract: Objective: This article aims to assess the validity and reliability of the SERVPERF scale used for evaluating the quality of training services at the Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH). Methods: The research team used the SERVPERF scale, translated and standardized this instrument. The self-structured questionnaire based on the SERVPERF scale was administered to 350 students currently attending formal courses at the HUPH. Principal Components Analysis (PCA) was performed with Cronbach' Alpha to measure the instrument items' internal consistency to assess the scale's reliability. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to validate the relevance of the scale. Results: All the interscale correlations were positive and significant. The overall statistical value for Cronbach's alpha was equal to 0.91 (95%CI: 0.91-0.94), and in all domains, this value ranged from 0.7 to 0.92. The factor analysis identified eight factors that explain 66.6% of the variance, 5 of which consisted of the same structure as the theoretical model's five domains. Conclusions: The University should use SERVPERF to assess the quality of training services yearly so that proper adjustments can be made to improve training quality, thereby enhancing students' satisfaction and confidence in service quality.     Abstract: Acrylamide is a toxic chemical formed in high temperature-processed foods (e.g., Potato snacks, instant noodle, etc.). Previous studied showed that acrylamide is a carcinogenic & nbsp;agent in human and animals. Evaluation of acrylamide contents in some processed starchy & nbsp;foods has been performed in order to investigate the presence of acrylamide in foods in & nbsp;Hanoi. This study is to validate a LC-MS/MS method for determination of acrylamide in & nbsp;food and to determine the acrylamide content in some processed starchy foods available in & nbsp;Hanoi, Vietnam. Samples of potato chips collected from food shops in Hanoi were tested. & nbsp;The acrylamide content was determined by high performance liquid chromatography-mass & nbsp;spectrometry. The method was validated for accuracy, precision, linearity, and recovery. & nbsp;The assay was linear over the entire range of calibration standards i.e., a concentration & nbsp;range from 1 ng/mL to 2500 ng/mL (r2 & gt;0.996). The precision and recoveries were obtained & nbsp;based on the AOAC guidelines. The lower limit of quantification of the analytical method & nbsp;of acrylamide was 24,82 ng/mL. The validated method was successfully applied to determine acrylamide in 28 samples of potato snacks. The content of acrylamide ranged from & nbsp;58.0 to 1829.6 mg/kg. Acrylamide was detected in all samples, nevertheless, the acrylamide & nbsp;content was lower than that from other studies published in 2009 in Europe. & nbsp;
