    Abstract: The community must be aware and wise in calculating a local leader who has a significant role in building and creating the history of a country. In an era when society tends to be static and fatalistic, Halim proposes dynamic and progressive thinking. By using historical research methods, this study found that Halim's quest to find national identity had been initiated since childhood until he died. Halim has contributed significantly to the growth of many other movements led by the younger generation since then. Halim also succeeded in solving local community problems, especially educational, da'wah and social problems. The emergence of the Islamic Community Association (PUI) organization is a fact of Halim's efforts and struggles. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Abdul Halim Majalengka in the world of education and Muslim society.     Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the difficulties of English teachers in using e-learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses qualitative research. The participants were 10 English teachers from different high schools in Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaires and interviews according to the topic. These findings reveal that English teachers experience three obstacles during online learning, including knowledge about the use of e-learning, quality of internet connection, and physical condition.  Keywords: Teacher, e-learning, Covid-19 Pandemic

    Abstract: There has been a significant increase in the development of reading assessment methods by educators and researchers. However, very few of these assessments have been integrated into a Learning Management System (LMS) platform, with current LMS usage primarily focused on course content delivery. This research aims to address this gap by developing a comprehensive LMS-based reading test to measure students' reading competence. Additionally, the study seeks to explore students' perspectives on the use of the developed instrument. The development of the instrument followed a Research & Development (R & D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The participants of this study were undergraduate English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students from Universitas Madako Tolitoli. In total, 50 reading test items were successfully developed. Both validity and reliability tests were conducted: the validity test was performed by experts in the field and followed by a pilot test with a small sample of students. The results indicated that the test items were reliable, with a Cronbach's Alpha score of 0.75. However, 6 of the items (12%) were deemed to need improvement or were considered invalid, while the remaining 44 items (88%) were judged to be valid. Students' perceptions of the LMS-based reading test were generally positive across three aspects: usability and accessibility, engagement and motivation, and the impact of the LMS on language learning outcomes. In light of the limitations of the current study, suggestions for improvement were also provided. These will serve to guide future research in this area, with the aim of refining the LMS-based reading test and further enhancing its potential benefits for student learning.

    Abstract: : The concept of learner autonomy has garnered significant attention from scholars, educators, policy makers, and researchers across various countries. However, In Indonesia, the body of research dedicated to learner autonomy is still growing, with specific attention needed to identify potential obstacles that might deter its promotion. This study, therefore, aims to delve into the socio-cultural challenges encountered by secondary school teachers when fostering learner autonomy.This investigation is crucial, as socio-cultural influences appear to be a significant barrier for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students in Indonesia. The study adopted a qualitative descriptive research approach, utilizing a purposive sampling technique to select participants based on specific criteria. These included senior high school teachers with over five years of experience at their respective schools, who were also willing to participate in interviews. In total, six English teachers from different senior high schools within a single Indonesian province contributed to this study. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews, and the teachers' responses were quoted and interpreted in light of the data analysis and supporting theories from relevant literature. The findings revealed three primary socio-cultural barriers impeding the promotion of learner autonomy: (1) barriers due to language issues, (2) barriers related to a limited worldview, and (3) institutional barriers. This research implies that promoting learner autonomy in language learning requires adjustments in teaching strategies, curriculum design, and institutional policies. Research suggestions are also provided to further research to address the limitation of the current study.   Keywords: Challenges, Learner Autonomy, Socio-Cultural Barriers

    Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic forced the Deans’ Council of Public Malaysian Medical Faculties to tackle the issue of examinations in the face of movement control orders (MCO). A task force decided that final professional examination is necessary and three recommendations have been proposed. Online examination is among the best option with strict adherence to the Malaysian Medical Council guidelines. The majority of the universities used a Moodle-based Learning Management System; the examination will therefore mainly cover cognitive outcomes focusing on final professional exit examinations. It felt that cheating, although a real issue, is manageable and came up with several recommendations for the implementation based on likely outcomes of the MCO.

    Abstract: As the coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from China to neighbouring areas and beyond, increased national and international efforts are underway to contain the epidemic. Humanity is increasingly confronted with a diverse array of man-made and natural disasters. While emergency circumstances cannot be avoided, they may be managed more efficiently. Effective emergency management requires thorough planning, informed reaction, and well-coordinated actions throughout the emergency management life cycle. According to the literature, data-driven emergency management information systems that are well-integrated help in disaster management operations. Recent advances in molecular and computational techniques, as well as in information and communication technologies (ICTs), artificial intelligence (AI), and Big Data, can assist in managing the massive, unprecedented amount of data generated by public health surveillance, real-time epidemic outbreak monitoring, trend nowcasting/forecasting, routine situation briefing and updating from governmental institutions and organisms, and health facility utilisation. This study could be tailored to assist organisations in adapting to their new normal.

    Abstract: Komoditas perikanan budidaya yang banyak dikembangkan di Indonesia adalah udang vaname Litopennaeus vannamei karena udang vannamei memiliki prospek dan profit yang menjanjikan (Babu et al., 2014). Salah satu usaha untuk menjaga dan meningkatkan produksi udang vaname adalah memanfaatkan lahan budidaya yang ada, termasuk lahan di perairan tawar. Udang vaname merupakan salah satu udang yang memiliki toleransi yang cukup baik pada kisaran salinitas yang tinggi, yaitu antara 0,5-40 ‰ (Wyban  et al, 1992). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh fosfor (P) untuk pertumbuhan udang vannamei dalam media pemeliharaan dengan salinitas 0 ppt. Dengan dosis fosfor yang tepat, pertumbuhan udang vannamei yang dipelihara pada media bersalinitas 0 ppt dapat terjadi dengan maksimal. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, yaitu penambahan fosfor melalui media dengan berbagai dosis yang berbeda; 0 ppm, 15 ppm, 30 ppm, dan 45 ppm. Penambahan mineral Ca 50 ppm dan P 45 ppm, memberikan pengaruh nyata pada tingkat pertumbuhan udang vaname, dengan nilai pertumbuhan panjang mutlak tertinggi 5,8 cm dan pertumbuhan bobot mutlak 1,07 gr terdapat pada P4 (Perlakuan Empat)

    Abstract: Abstract : This research aims to describe the parenting styles of parents especilly single parents in educating their children and how parents can motivate their children to learning achievement owned of student in class II UPT SDN 90 Gresik. The data collection techniques using interview, observation, and documentation. Data collection instrument using guidelines and validation tests. The data analysis using data collection, data presentation and conclusions. The data validity test using trigulation techniques and resources.The results of the study concluded that both parents applied authoritative parenting, but one of the two parents also applied authoritarian parenting. Activities carried out by students receive support from parents and children needs are met. The both parents prioritize children in terms of education and also in terms of education and also in terms of religion. Children are not required to get good grades, but parents always support whatever the child gets. If the child gets good results, the child gets a reward from both words and things. The both parents did not give physical punishment but it was a warning. The achievements of the two students are the most stand out from aspect academic.   Keywords : Parenting, Achievers, Motivation Learn.   Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola asuh orang tua khususnya pada orang tua tunggal atau single parent dalam mendidik anaknya serta cara orang tua dalam memberikan motivasi belajar kepada anak untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik pada kelas II di UPT SDN 90 Gresik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Instrumen pengumpelan data menggunakan pedoman dan uji validasi. Analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Uji keabsaan data menggunakan tringulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa kedua orang tua tersebut menerapkan pola asuh otoritif, namun pada salah satunya dari orang tua A tersebut juga menerapkan pola asuh otoriter. Kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik mendapat dukungan oleh orang tua serta kebutuhan anak terpenuhi. Kedua orang tua memproritaskan anak dalam hal pendidikan serta diimbangi pula dari segi agama. Anak tidak dituntut untuk mendapatkan nilai bagus, namun orang tua selalu mendukung apapun yang didapatkan oleh anak. Jika anak mendapatkan hasil yang bagus, anak mendapat hadiah baik dari ucapan maupun barang. Kedua orang tua tidak memberikan hukuman yang berbentuk fisik namun berupa teguran. Prestasi yang dihasilkan dari kedua peserta didik menonjol dari segi akademik.   Kata kunci : Pola Asuh, Berprestasi, Motivasi Belajar.

    Abstract: This This study aims to develop a solar system simulator learning media for solar system material in grade VI elementary school, and determine the quality of the media through the results of validation, validity, and practicality. The type of research used in this research is development research using modified and simplified 4-D development research methods, namely defining, designing, developing and without disseminating. Development in the form of a solar system simulator media which is made to describe a small version of the solar system equipped with a user manual. Sources of data in this development research are students of class VI UPT SD Negeri 110 Gresik, totaling 30 students. The data collection techniques used in this study were the validation of learning media, student response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique used in this research is the analysis of the validity of the learning media, the analysis of the effectiveness of the learning media, and the analysis of the practicality of the learning media. The results of descriptive analysis of the validation results and test data obtained that the development of learning media for solar system simulators for class VI solar system material at UPT SD Negeri 110 Gresik met the good criteria, namely as follows: a) The results of the validation of learning media conducted by the validator obtained a percentage 87.5% which is categorized as valid and can be used during the learning process, b) Categorized as effective from the results of learning mastery analysis, the results of the percentage of classical learning mastery are 86.7%, it can be said that students' learning mastery is achieved, c) Categorized practically from the results of the analysis of student responses, the percentage of student responses is 94.7%, it can be said that the solar system simulator media is in the good category. The implication of this research is that it can result in the development of quality media to help deliver material on the solar system so that it has a very good contribution to the world of education. The solar system simulator media can explain directly the process of the solar system with visualization from the front. So that educators have no difficulty in giving explanations to students about the material of the solar system because it has been helped by the media simulator of the solar system. In addition, this media can make it easier for studentsto understand the concept of the solar system and reduce students' misconceptions in learning the solar system. This development research produces concrete learning media that are in accordance with the solar system learning material in grade VI elementary school. However, this research is limited to its visualization, the visualization of this media can only be seen from the front.
