Broadband Rayleigh‐wave dispersion array analysis has been conducted in the oldest (∼170 Ma) Pacific seafloor The low‐velocity zone is significantly slower to indicate the occurrence of some reheating process beneath the oldest Pacific lithosphere The spatial variation of the shallow azimuthal anisotropy indicates a complicated evolution of the infant Pacific plate
