Abstract:
What's new? This is the first case–control study to evaluate the associations between serum 25(OH)D levels, five common variants in VDR gene and lung cancer incidence in the Slavic (Polish) population. Authors found significant association between rs731236‐rs1544410 haplotype and increased risk of lung cancer. A tendency toward an increased number of lung cancers among individuals with low serum levels of 25(OH)D was observed.
