Abstract:
Es wurde die Oxydation des Ferrohydroxyds an der Luft untersucht und dabei folgende Beobachtungen gemacht: Die Oxydation des Fe(OH) 2 , ist abhängig von der [H], bei welcher die Fällung ausgeführt wird. ‐ Abhängig von der [H] führt die Oxydation entweder zum gelben (Stich rot) Meta‐Ferrioxyd‐ hydrat oder zu Ferroferriten. Der isoelektrische Punkt des Meta‐Fe 2 O 3 · aq, dessen Zusammensetzung nach Lufttrocknung nahezu Fe 2 O 3 ·2H 2 O entspricht, liegt bei P H = 5,2. Demnach hat man bei P H 〉 5,2 das (Fe 2 O 3 ·aq) − , bei P H 〈 5,2 das (Fe 2 O 3 · aq) + , während bei P H 〈 0,3 Ferrosalze beständig sind. Um zu beweisen, daß bei P H 〉 5,2 das Fe(OH) 2 sic zu Ferroferriten oxydiert, wurde das Fe(OH) 2 in Gegenwart von Mg(OH) 2 oxydiert. Es zeigte sich, daß das Magnesium das Ferroeisen vollständig ersetzen kann, so daß in solchem Falle eine vollständige Oxydation zu Magnesiumferrit erfolgt.
