Abstract:
Bei der Wurtzschen Reaktion von Tetrahalogenmethanen mit fein verteilten Schwermetallen oder mit Metallcarbonylen entstehen kurzlebige Trihalogen‐methyl‐Radikale, mit denen die Vinylpolymerisation sowie die 1:1‐Addition von Tetrahalogenmethanen an Olefine ausgelöst werden kann. Der thermische Zerfall einiger schwermetallorganischer Verbindungen erweist sich dagegen als wirkungslos gegen zugesetztes Styrol. — Trichlormethyl‐Radikale lassen sich auch bei der photochemischen Zersetzung von Eisen(III)‐trichloracetat durch ihre polymerisationsauslösende Wirkung nachweisen. — Die Bedeutung dieser Befunde für den Mechanismus der Wurtzschen Reaktion wird erörtert.
