Abstract: Many companies face the challenge of exploring new business potentials while exploiting internal excellence to meet their market conditions. This results to a mutual limitation of resource capacities and thus to a management task at the individual level. Under this premise, the following article summarizes the arguments and counterarguments in the scientific discussion about the ambidexterity on a employee level. Although academic interest in the study of indi-vidual ambidexterity is growing, there is still a need to understand the different concepts and to classify their potential. For this purpose, the existing scientific literature is compiled according to individual employ-ee behavior, structured and described in its most important results. The review took place between January 2021 and June 2021 by using different academic databases such as Econbiz, Scopus and Web of Science. The sample included 10 articles from a cross-sectoral con-text. The evidence of the analysis demonstrates that ambidexterity in employee behavior promotes economically useful adaptability within organizations. Practitioners and scientists are invited to cope the po-tential of individual ambidexterity and to implement ambidextrous be-havioral practices in organizational reality.

Abstract: Economic success often depends on the health of managers and employees in the company. In this context, health promotion programs are becoming increasingly important to ensure the quality of work and for reducing absenteeism. Although academic interest in the study of individual health in organizations is growing, there is still a need for research to fully understand its potential in the area of management development as well. Under this premise, this article summarizes the arguments and counter-arguments within the scientific discussion on health-promoting aspects in the context of management development. The purpose of this work is to systematically deepen the understanding of corporate health promotion by reviewing the relevance of health-related aspects in management training concepts. Given this evidence, this work contains a systematic literature review about management training programs and empirical contributions. The review took place between November 2020 and February 2021 by using different scientometric databases such as Econbiz, Scopus and Web of Science. Among 56 identified publications, 20 studies address such management training concepts in the context of health issues. The paper provides initial evidence of differing understandings of health promotion in management development and identifies difficulties in implementing and prioritizing health promotion in training programs on the management level. Even though health-promoting topics are becoming increasingly important, self-leadership aspects still play a subordinate role in development programs. The study proved that despite the economic importance of the individual health of employees and managers, health promotion is still seen as a self-reflective task. Practitioners are therefore invited to test the potential of health-promoting elements in management training and to implement them in organizational reality.

Abstract: Linguistic competencies (LC) are in many companies and industries an essential prerequisite for employees to accomplish tasks and integrate into a job. Under this premise, this paper summarizes the arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on the relevance of LC in Job advertisements (J-Ads) in the German labour market. The main purpose of the research is to uncover the different importance of LC in the respective officially occupational category (OC) to examine whether connections between required LC and the tasks from the J-Ads. Therefore, this research represents an analysis of LC with regard to J-Ads, which was conducted on the basis of a qualitative content analysis. For the methodology of the research, 180 J-Ads were examined on the criteria of KLdB 2010. The investigation took place in a period from November 2018 to February 2019. The paper provides first evidence for the different importance of LC for the different OC and indicates ambiguities within J-Ads. Given evidence there are considerable inconsistent discrepancies between the required LC for applicants and the tasks to be performed, which can lead to inefficiencies in the recruiting process. The study confirms and proves that, in addition to implementation and conceptual problems, some management questions regarding the exploitation of LC in J-Ads can also be optimized through improved awareness and clarification of the ambiguity of the competence term.
