Abstract: Introduction. In the changing socio-economic conditions, the problem of advertising for children, using a child’s image, the impact of advertising on children’s food consumption and the consequences for their health, has not been sufficiently studied. The choice of unhealthy foods has public health implications, increasing the risks of developing noncommunicable diseases. The use of children’s images in advertising is of concern to specialists in the field of preserving the health of children, since the peculiarities of development and imperfection of legislation in the field of advertising make adolescents vulnerable to the effects of advertising promotion of food. The aim of the study was a qualitative and quantitative analysis of food and beverages advertising intended for children and adolescents on Russian television, and an assessment of the impact of television advertising with the participation of children on the consumer. Materials and methods. A cross-sectional study of food and beverages advertising for children, broadcast on TNT’s Carousel channel (sample of 513 ads), was conducted. To assess the impact of advertising on the potential ability of the consumer to purchase the advertised product, a random sample of undergraduate students was selected. Results. In 36.7% of the analyzed advertisements appeared products with excessive sugar content, chips, fast food. Conclusion. On children’s television channels, more than half of the commercials promote food products that are not actually products of the daily diet of kid food, which creates distorted ideas about rational nutrition among children’s audiences. In 24.5% of commercials with the participation of children, there is false information about products containing sugar and rich in trans fats.

In: HEALTH CARE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION, Federal Scientific Center for Hygiene F.F.Erisman, Vol. 65, No. 4 ( 2021-09-07), p. 325-333
Abstract: Introduction. Against the background of socio-economic transformations and the digitalization of education, the health indicators of students are changing, which requires in-depth research. Aim of the study: based on the longitudinal observation of the health of schoolchildren, to identify the patterns of its formation for the scientific justification of improving the medical care of students. Material and methods. From the 1st to the 11a grade (2005-2015), the same students (199 boys and 227 girls) of 4 Moscow schools were examined annually with the performance of anthropometry, electrocardiography, functional tests, and questionnaire to identify complaints and anamnesis; specialist doctors carried out 25,298 examinations. In addition to the analysis of morbidity, a qualitative analysis of the course of pathological processes in students was carried out to determine positive and negative dynamics. Results. Over 11 years, the prevalence of functional disorders increased by 14.7%, chronic diseases by 52.8%, the frequency of visual disturbances, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, digestive organs, neurotic reactions increased; new forms of risk behaviour and information dependence appeared. An unfavourable period of development of pathological processes in schoolchildren is training in grades 9-11. Compared with the 1990 morbidity rates obtained by similar methods, there was an increase in the prevalence of functional disorders among adolescents by 2-3 times and chronic diseases by 20-70%. When comparing physical development with peers of the second half of the XX century, the observed schoolchildren increased the average values of body length and weight with a decrease in functional indicators. Distance learning during the first wave of COVID-19 in spring 2020 has increased the prevalence of computer vision, carpal tunnel syndromes, and neurotic reactions. Discussion. The main patterns of health formation in school ontogenesis, coinciding with the change of generations and the transition to the digitalization of education, are revealed. Conclusion. The study results allow predicting an increase in the prevalence of neuropsychiatric disorders, myopia, scoliosis, computer-visual and carpal tunnel syndromes. To preserve students’ health, to counteract COVID-19, a modern model of school health care is proposed.

Abstract: Domestic fundamentals of hygiene and healthcare of children, adolescents and young people have been laid at the Imperial Moscow University (IMU) by clinicians andhygienists (N.A. Tolsky, S.G. Zybelin, F.I. BarsukMoiseev, M. Ya. Mudrov, G.A. Zakharin, G.N. Speransky, F.F. Erisman, V.E. Ignatiev). In 1881 in IMU there was introduced associated professor course of hygiene. From 1886 V.E. Ignatiev gave privat-associate professor course of lectures on school hygiene. Hygienic Institute was scientific and educational base for training doctors-hygienists. In 1884 in IMU the was organized the Department of Hygiene (Head of the Department-F.F. Erisman). The department of school hygiene, hygiene of children and adolescents of the 1st Moscow State University-First MGMU named after I.M. Sechenov was headedfrom 1926 to 1947 by prof. A.V. Molkov, throughout 1947-1953 - Associate Professor P.M. Ivanovsky, from 1953 to 1962 - Prof. M.D. Bolshakova, from 1962 to 1974 - Associate professor A.Z. Belousov, from 1974 till 1991 - Profesor V.N. Kardashenko and from 1992 - corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.R. Kuchma. Training is carried out on the hygiene, basics of the formation of children’s health, hygiene of children and adolescents, and 7 programs ofpostgraduate education. There are performed studies of the physical development of children. There are substantiated criteria of social and hygienic monitoring of the child population at the local, regional and federal levels. Currently, studies are carried out in hygienic safety of the use of information and communication learning tools and ways to ensure their work (PC of new generations, readers, iPad, interactive whiteboards, electronic textbooks, Internet, mobile communication, Wi-Fi).

Abstract: The assessment of the risk for the health is widely used in international and domestic organizations. The aim of the work is the analysis of methods and techniques of risk assessment for children’s health and determination of the approaches to the analysis of risks for children’s health in the course of their life. The material of the study is based on legal and analytical documents in the field of the analysis of risks for public health. The main method of the research is expert-analytical. Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare has proved the risk-based approach to sanitary and epidemiological supervision, classified the subjects of supervision according to the criteria of the potential risk of damage to health. The risks for children’s health, calculated only on the frequency of violations of sanitary legislation, do not take into account the impact of all risk factors for the health of students. Methodology of management of occupational risks (risk management) is now implemented by bioinformatics technologies. The methodology of risk management to children’s health can be applied for pupils in various educational institutions. Risk for pupils ’ health is the probability of the injury as a result of exposure to potentially hazardous and dangerous factors of conditions and modes of learning in the educational activity. The management of risks for health of students is an array of interrelated activities, which includes the measures to identify, assess and reduce the risk for health ofpupils. The criteria of safe conditions and the mode of training of children in educational institutions are the preservation of life, health, functional abilities of the body ofpupils, the upcoming life. The most difficult problem in the hygiene of children and adolescents is the establishment of a causal relationship of diseases with conditions and mode of teaching children and teenagers - causation (causality). The starting point of causation is to establish the diagnosis with a code and factor code from the number of external causes of ICD-10. Risk management is carried out by the system of targeted prevention of school-related diseases.

Abstract: Introduction. The current stage of development of social and hygienic monitoring (SHM) is characterized by the lack of an effective technology for monitoring for the health of the child population, adequate indicators of the monitoring system in the area of hygiene and health protection of children and adolescents. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the effective indicators of the information fund of the SHM. Materials and methods. There was carried out the expert-analytical study including forty four thousand values of 105 indicators of the information fund of the SHM were processed for 8 years and the results of a physiological and hygienic examination of students in 18 schools in the city of Minsk. Results. The database of the information fund of the SHM does not allow establishing the influence of socio-economic factors on the incidence in children and adolescents by the main classes of diseases and socially significant diseases. The data of the forms on the results of instrumental measurements of physical factors, the number of outbreaks of infectious and parasitic diseases in educational institutions, the specific weight of objects of various groups in terms of the level of sanitary and epidemiological well-being correlate no with each other and do not allow objectively characterizing the sanitary and epidemiological state of educational institutions. The indicators of official state statistics, characterizing the socio-economic situation of the regions, do not correlate with the level of sanitary and epidemiological well-being of general education institutions according to laboratory and instrumental control data, and do not reliably affect the coverage of students with hot meals. The socio-economic situation of the regions affects the behavior in the field of nutrition and morbidity in children and adolescents, the management of medical care for them. Limitations. The study was limited to the study and analysis of data from the Federal Information Fund for Social and Hygienic Monitoring and data on the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of schools in a large city. Conclusion. Optimization of the set of indicators and data of the information fund of the SHM for assessing and managing the processes of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the children population and organizations must be carried out by reducing and including additional indicators of the fund.
