Abstract: The megascolecid earthworms of the Phu Quoc island are intensively investigated. Twelve species in three genera ( Lampito Kinberg, 1867, Amynthas Kinberg, 1867, and Metaphire Sims & amp; Easton, 1972) are recorded. Of these, Metaphire doiphamon Bantaowong & amp; Panha, 2016 is recorded for the first time in Vietnam, and three species are newly described, namely Amynthas catenatus sp. nov. , A. phuquocensis sp. nov. , and A. poropapillatus sp. nov. An identification key to 12 megascolecid species is provided as well.

Abstract: Two new earthworm species are described, namely Drawida angiang sp. nov. and Drawida cochinchina sp. nov. The former can be recognized by having male pores on spiniform penises in intersegment 10/11, an erect and sac-shaped spermathecal atrium, glandular prostate, the capsule coiled one round, the vas deferens strongly coiled but small, two large, round, genital markings on segments ix–x, and three gizzards in xiii–xv. The latter species is distinguished in having the male pores placed on highly elevated, backwardly directed, conical penises in 10/11, a slender spermathecal atrium, a glandular prostate, a somewhat folded capsule, the vas deferens strongly coiled as a bunch and equal size to the testis sacs, a pair of genital markings located closely anterior to the penises with 1–3 additional ones in xi–xii, and three or four gizzards in xiii–xvi. The DNA barcode fragment of the COI gene was extracted for each species, and the COI genetic distances and phylogenetic analysis also supported two new species..

Abstract: This paper shows an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) algorithm-based approach for load shedding based on the coordination of the load importance factor (LIF), the reciprocal phase angle sensitivity (RPAS), and the voltage electrical distance (VED) to rank the load buses. This problem is important from a power system point of view, and the AHP method is able to support the decision-making process in a simple and intuitive way in a three-criterion environment. This satisfies the multicriteria decision-making to meet economic-technical aspects. The ranking and distributed shedding power at each demand load bus are based on this combined weight. The smaller overall weights of the load buses show the lesser importance of the load bus, the smaller reciprocal phase angle sensitivity, and the closer voltage electrical distance. Therefore, these load buses cut a larger amount of capacity, and vice versa. By considering the generator control, the load shedding consists of the primary and secondary control features of the generators to minimize the load shedding capacity and restore the system frequency value back to the allowable range. The efficiency of the suggested load-shedding scheme was verified via the comparison with the under-frequency load shedding (UFLS). The latter result is that the load shedding power of the suggested approach is 22.64% lower than the UFLS method. The case studies are experienced on the IEEE 9-generator; the 37-bus system has proven its effectiveness.

Abstract: Most of the existing chest X-ray datasets include labels from a list of findings without specifying their locations on the radiographs. This limits the development of machine learning algorithms for the detection and localization of chest abnormalities. In this work, we describe a dataset of more than 100,000 chest X-ray scans that were retrospectively collected from two major hospitals in Vietnam. Out of this raw data, we release 18,000 images that were manually annotated by a total of 17 experienced radiologists with 22 local labels of rectangles surrounding abnormalities and 6 global labels of suspected diseases. The released dataset is divided into a training set of 15,000 and a test set of 3,000. Each scan in the training set was independently labeled by 3 radiologists, while each scan in the test set was labeled by the consensus of 5 radiologists. We designed and built a labeling platform for DICOM images to facilitate these annotation procedures. All images are made publicly available in DICOM format along with the labels of both the training set and the test set.

Abstract: Carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) are well known to cause many serious infections resulting in increasing mortality rate, treatment cost, and prolonged hospitalization. Among the widely recognized types of carbapenemases, New Delhi β -lactamase (NDM) and Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC) are the most important enzymes. However, in Vietnam, there are only scattered reports of CPE due to the lack of simple and affordable methods that are suitable to laboratory conditions. This study aims to survey the characteristics of carbapenem-resistant E. coli and K. pneumoniae (CR-E/K) at two hospitals in Southern Vietnam and perform some simple methods to detect the two enzymes . A total of 100 CR-E/K strains were collected from clinical isolates of Gia Dinh People’s Hospital and Dong Nai General Hospital, Vietnam, from November 2017 to May 2018. The patient-related information was also included in the analysis. We conducted real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Modified Hodge Test (MHT), and combined disk test (CDT) on all isolates. Carbapenemase-encoding genes were detected in 47 isolates (36 NDM, 10 KPC, and one isolate harboring both genes). The E. coli strain carrying simultaneously these two genes was the first case reported here. Most of isolates were collected from patients in ICU, Infectious Disease Department, and Department of Urologic Surgery. Urine and sputum were two common specimens. The true positive rate (sensitivity, TPR) and specificity (SPC) of the imipenem–EDTA (ethylen diamine tetra acetic acid) for NDM detection and the imipenem–PBA (phenylboronic acid) for KPC detection on E. coli were 93.8%, 97.1% and 66.7%, 95.7%, respectively. Meanwhile, the imipenem–EDTA for NDM detection and the imipenem–PBA for KPC detection among K. pneumonia achieved 90.5%, 100% and 100%, 92.9% TPR and SPC, respectively. However, MHT showed low sensitivity and specificity. Our findings showed that CP-E/K were detected with high prevalence in the two hospitals. We suggest that CDT can be used as a low-priced and accurate method of detection.
