Abstract: School social work has a long history internationally, being the oldest subspecialisation in the field, and for over 20 years, emphasis has been placed on evidence-based practice. The recent events humanity has faced highlight the necessity for students to be prepared for major traumatic situations. In many countries, efforts have been made to facilitate practitioners' access to the latest research to enhance intervention effectiveness. The main purpose of this work is to highlight the most effective evidence-based intervention methods that school social workers need to use when working with students dealing with depression, age-specific anxieties, phobias, frustration intolerance, the parents' divorce, homelessness, anger, aggression, suicidal thoughts, or attempts. We present the PREPaRE Model, an effective response to school crisis situations, and an effective way to enhance psychosocial resilience in students, The Window of Empowerment and Resilience (Șoitu, 2012). Evidence-based school social work is founded on the proven-effective research for addressing emotional management, stress, and anger in (pre)adolescent students.

Abstract: The specialty literature is remarked by the presentation of negative facts and phenomena, some of which are particularly serious, such as bullying and cyberbullying. Authors such as Olweus (1993), Smith and Sharp (1994), Rigby (2007), Belsey (2005), Shariff (2009), etc. draw the attention to two categories of people, the ones who abuse and the ones who are victims of the aggression. The online school also brings along the extension of the cyberbullying phenomenon. In previous years, traditional bullying started in school and continued in the online environment, but now all the interaction has been transferred to the cyber environment. We note phenomena such as: cyberbullying, cybermobbing or cyberstalking etc., and we could say that they seem to occur in the online environment in a kind of avalanche that exceeds our imagination whereas the phenomenon is explained primarily by the impossibility to trace the perpetrator. The article presents ways to prevent the phenomenon of bullying and cyberbullying, as well as legislative and institutional aspects, intervention measures aimed at reducing the phenomenon of bullying, directly or virtually, especially at the national level.

Abstract: The  global crisis caused  by the  spread  of COVID-19 disease  is a difficult period  for humanity,  apart  from other  catastrophes,  such as floods, fires, the refugees' conditions etc. The social effects are immediate, such as: major changes in people's relationships, lifestyle and the quality of their lives. Prolonged isolation becomes extremely stressful to people and it can reach serious mental illnesses .The mass media points  out that  in a pandemic, many parents turn to counselling sessions because their children have became neurotic.  The  online  courses  have  a major  effect on  pupils'  psyche, with  the  risk  of emotional disturbances that may occur due to overexposure to the screen, isolation, repressed  emotions  and  not  discussing  with  parents  or  friends.  This  article  reveals effective interventions of the school social worker in order to get out of the crisis.

Abstract: This study conceptually and etiologically defines the harassment among students, either face to face or virtually, the types of bullying and cyberbullying from the perspective of the dynamic of the aggressor-victim relationship. In this regard, the aggressor and the victim’s profile are outlined, as well as the fluctuations of the attitudinal-behavioral pattern within the victim-aggressor-school triad. By referring to the aggressiveness among students, we will predominantly analyse the school harassment, emphasizing both the determinant factors and the effects on the psychological plan with reference to the efficient strategies of preventing the bullying and cyberbullying from the educational environment.

Abstract: Silicone implants are frequently used for breast augmentation and reconstruction. However, late complication, such as capsular contracture, remain the most important side effect. In this study we compare different methods for reducing the inflammatory reaction around the silicone implant by introducing one microtextured breast implant in wistar rats. The rats were dividing in 4 groups: the first one was the control group that received untreated implant; in the second we used silicone implants impregnated with rifampin solution, the third one had implant combined with intramuscular dexamethasone injection and the last one had silicone implant associated with autologous centrifuged fat introduced in the implant pocket. The implants and the capsular tissue surrounding were removed after eight weeks. Capsule samples were submitted to histological evaluations. The present study demonstrated that fat grafting may have a role in reducing and preventing capsular contractures after breast augmentation with silicone implants by decreasing the inflammatory process.
