Abstract:
Introducción. Los enzimoinmunoensayo han sido empleados en la deteción de HBsAg empleando muestras de sangre seca sobre papel de filtro debido a las ventajas de este tipo de muestras ya que disminuye la utilización de materiales de laboratorios, este tipo de muestras pueden ser utilizadas en aquellos países donde los recursos son limitados para realizar estudios epidemiológicos.
Material y métodos. En este trabajo establecimos las condiciones óptimas para la elución de las muestras de sangre seca sobre papel de filtro con el fin de realizar la detección de HBsAg empleando el UMELISA HBsAg PLUS. Se evaluaron 1053 muestras de suero y sangre seca sobre papel de filtro procedentes de donantes de sangre de la Ciudad de la Habana, Cuba. Resultados. En las muestras de suero se encontraron 9 individuos reactivos, de ellos 8 fueron confirmados como positivos por el ensayo confirmatorio HBsAg CONFIRMATORY TEST para un 0,75% de positividad y en las de sangre seca sobre papel de filtro 6 de las confirmadas fueron reactivos lo que representa un 0,57% de positividad.
Conclusión. Los resultados para ambos tipos de muestras fueron comparados y el índice Kappa fue de 0,85%, para una buena concordancia.
