Abstract:
Viele wichtige zelluläre Prozesse werden duch nichtkodierende endogene RNAs gesteuert, die als MikroRNAs (miRNAs) bekannt sind. Die genaue Funktion vieler miRNAs ist aber noch unbekannt, und es besteht eine intensive Suche nach Loss‐of‐Function‐Methoden zur Aufklärung der molekularen Details. Für Antagomirzyme, eine Klasse von Nucleinsäureenzymen, wurde nun gezeigt, dass sie miRNA in vitro und in vivo spezifisch ausschalten können (siehe Schema). magnified image
