Abstract:
Esse artigo busca fazer uma análise crítica da forma como as ideias do psiquiatra francês Gaëtan Gatian de Clérambault foram assimiladas e transmitidas pela psicanálise, sobretudo a partir da influência lacaniana. Pa ra tanto, faz-se, primeiramente, uma apresentação sintética das principais teses do autor, com destaque para aquelas contidas em seus estudos sobre o Automatismo Mental e a Erotomania. A seguir, a recepção psicanalítica dessas teses é discutida, a partir da apresentação e análise crítica dos exemplos mais representativos de seu estilo. O trabalho de Quentin Skinner sobre os equívocos históricos que frequentemente são cometidos no campo da história das ideias é utilizado como parâmetro para realização dessa análise crítica, sobretudo sua discussão sobre as mitologias que são muitas vezes construídas pelos historiadores das ideias. Como conclusão, argumenta-se que o trabalho psiquiátrico de Clérambault reaparece no pensamento psicanalítico contemporâneo como uma forma de mitologia da doutrina.
