Abstract:
El crecimiento acelerado de las ciudades ha dejado a su paso la formación de espacios intersticiales en las periferias, caracterizados por la falta de atención, evidenciada en sus condiciones de deterioro y contaminación, hecho que repercute en el tipo de uso que se le da a los mismos. En este tenor, el objetivo del estudio responde a analizar el tipo de relaciones socioespaciales requeridas en el intersticio entre el fraccionamiento y la ciudad; en el cual se implementó un enfoque metodológico mixto a partir de la aplicación de un cuestionario de percepción y una ficha de campo los cuales consideraron como variables a las relaciones socioespaciales, la funcionalidad y la conectividad. La investigación se llevó a cabo durante el periodo de agosto de 2021 a diciembre de 2022, en los intersticios contiguos al fraccionamiento Los Encinos, ubicado en Ensenada, Baja California, México. Los resultados evidenciaron diferencias en cuanto a la funcionalidad del intersticio manifestadas con base en la permeabilidad física y visual, así como por la cercanía a la infraestructura y equipamiento. En este sentido, se mostró que la conectividad del entorno condiciona el uso de los espacios intersticiales y debilita sus relaciones socioespaciales. El aporte de este trabajo se centró en evidenciar que dichos espacios, comúnmente caracterizados en diversos estudios con un escaso o nulo uso, si presentan apropiaciones: efímeras, o duraderas, lo anterior se limita a las condiciones de conectividad y seguridad percibidas.
