Abstract:
En la actualidad, es complicado lograr un equilibrio de la salud mental debido a las múltiples actividades, responsabilidades y situaciones estresantes de la vida cotidiana, y en la etapa universitaria suelen emerger con particular intensidad problemas de salud mental. Por lo que el objetivo del estudio fue identificar el nivel de salud mental positiva en estudiantes de Enfermería de una Universidad pública del sur del estado de Veracruz, México. Investigación descriptiva y transversal, con un muestreo probabilístico estratificado, la muestra fue de 183 estudiantes. Los datos fueron recolectados mediante cuestionario de datos sociodemográfico y el Cuestionario de Salud Mental Positiva de Lluch 1999. Participaron estudiantes con una media de 20.2 años y la mayoría fueron mujeres (72.1%). En lo que respecta a la salud mental positiva, predominó el nivel alto (66.7%) y los factores más elevados fueron la satisfacción personal (78,1%), la actitud prosocial (85,8%) y la autonomía (64,5%). Al comparar por sexo, los hombres (21.8%) mostraron niveles más bajos de salud mental positiva que las mujeres (44.8%). Se concluye que la mayoría de los estudiantes de Enfermería tienen una salud mental positiva alta, sin embargo, se debe fortalecer mediante programas de salud en los hombres.
