Abstract:
Um das Wissen über die aerobe Umsetzung von Diwasserstoff durch eine lösliche, NAD + ‐reduzierende [NiFe]‐Hydrogenase auf molekularer Ebene zu vertiefen, wird hier der erste bioinspirierte, heterobimetallische S‐oxygenierte [NiFe] ‐Komplex als strukturelles und schwingungsspektroskopisches Modell des sauerstoffinhibierten aktiven Zentrums vorgestellt. Dieser S‐oxygenierte Komplex und seine nicht‐S‐oxygenierte Variante wurden vollständig charakterisiert. Die elektronischen Strukturen beider Verbindungen wurden experimentell sowie durch theoretische Untersuchungen aufgeklärt, wobei ein besonderes Augenmerk auf der verbrückenden Sulfenatogruppe lag. Aufbauend auf den schwingungsspektroskopischen Eigenschaften dieser Verbindungen können außerdem neue Strategien zur Untersuchung von S‐oxygenierten Intermediaten in Hydrogenasen und verwandten Enzymen vorgeschlagen werden.
