Abstract: The genus Cavariella is distinguished from other Macrosiphini genera (Aphididae, Aphidinae) because it has a supra-caudal process on abdominal tergite VIII which possesses two setae distally. It is Holarctic in distribution, and half of its species are Asian. The Chinese fauna of this genus, 17 species, have been restudied, morphologically and through DNA barcodes. As a result: Cavariella hidaensis Takahashi is transferred to Elatobium ; Cavariella sculptura Qiao & Xu, sp. nov. is described from specimens collected on Torilis and Cryptotaenia (Apiaceae); Cavariella cessana Zhang, Chen, Zhong & Li, syn. nov. and Cavariella largispiracula Zhang, Chen, Zhong & Li, syn. nov. are respectively junior synonyms of Cavariella aquatica (Gillette & Bragg) and Cavariella sapporoensis Takahashi; Cavariella gilgiana Zhang, Chen, Zhong & Li and Cavariella lhasana Zhang are confirmed as valid species and complete descriptions are provided; Cavariella bhutanensis Chakrabarti & Das, Cavariella nigra Basu, Cavariella pastinacae (Linnaeus), and Cavariella pustula Essig are recorded for the first time from China. Additionally, keys for species of Cavariella known in China are provided and modifications to the key by Blackman and Eastop of aphid species on Angelica (Aphids on World’s Plants) are presented.

Abstract: The genus Aspidophorodon Verma is presented including six new species from China namely Aspidophorodon capitatum Qiao & Xu, sp. nov. Aspidophorodon longicornutum Qiao & Xu, sp. nov. Aspidophorodon reticulatum Qiao & Xu, sp. nov. Aspidophorodon furcatum Qiao & Xu, sp. nov. Aspidophorodon longirostre Qiao & Xu, sp. nov. and Aspidophorodon obtusirostre Qiao & Xu, sp. nov. Aspidophorodon cornuatum Qiao 2015, is considered as a junior synonym of Aspidophorodon longituberculatum (Zhang Zhong & Zhang 1992), syn. nov. Two species Aspidophorodon harvense Verma and Aspidophorodon indicum (David Rajasingh & Narayanan) are recorded for the first time in China. The genus is mainly distributed in East Asia and is represented by 15 species in the world of which 12 are found in China. Keys to the species of Aspidophorodon are given.

Abstract: A new species of the genus Megophrys is described from Guizhou Province, China. Molecular phylogenetic analyses based on mitochondrial DNA and nuclear DNA sequences all strongly supported the new species as an independent clade sister to M. minor and M. jiangi . The new species could be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following characters: body size moderate (SVL 43.4–44.1 mm in males, and 44.8–49.8 mm in females; vomerine teeth absent; tongue not notched behind; a small horn-like tubercle at the edge of each upper eyelid; tympanum distinctly visible, rounded; two metacarpal tubercles on palm; relative finger lengths II & lt; I & lt; V & lt; III; toes without webbing; heels overlapping when thighs are positioned at right angles to the body; tibiotarsal articulation reaching the level between tympanum and eye when leg stretched forward; in breeding males, an internal single subgular vocal sac in male, and the nuptial pads with black spines on dorsal surface of bases of the first two fingers.

Abstract: Two new species of Clitocella are proposed based on morphological and phylogenetic investigations. Clitocella borealichinensis sp. nov. is closely related to C. orientalis but distinguished from the latter by its slightly smaller basidiospores and hyphae of pileipellis with pale brown to brown intracellular or parietal pigment. Clitocella colorata sp. nov. is closely related to C. popinalis and C. mundula in macromorphology but is differentiated from C. popinalis by its slightly smaller basidiospores and the difference in genetic profile, and from C. mundula by its relatively colorful pileus (white to yellowish white, grayish white to grayish brown, pink white). Phylogenetic analyses based on sequence data from five different loci (ITS, nrLSU, tef1 , rpb2 and atp6 ) support the taxonomic position of the two new species in the genus Clitocella . The illustrations and descriptions for the new taxa are provided.

Abstract: The Music frog genus Nidirana is widely distributed in East and South Asia. Here, a new species of the genus is described from southwestern China. Phylogenetic analyses based on the mitochondrial 16S rRNA and COI gene sequences supported the new species as a clade closely related to N. leishanensis , N. hainanensis , N. chapaensis , N. daunchina , and N. yaoica . The new species could be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following characters: body of medium size (SVL 41.2–43.5 mm in males and 44.7 mm in female); lateroventral groove only present on toes; relative finger lengths: II & lt; IV & lt; I & lt; III; three metatarsal tubercles on palm; heels overlapping when hindlimbs flexed at right angles to axis of body; tibiotarsal articulation reaching the level of eye when leg stretched forward; a pair of subgular internal vocal sacs at corners of throat in male; nuptial pad present on the inner side of base of fingers I in breeding male; tadpole labial tooth row formula with 1:1+1/1+1:2; in males, the advertisement call contains two kinds of notes and one call contains 2–6 repeated regular notes.
