    Abstract: Prediction models for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) are useful, but have considerable inaccuracy and imprecision. No current model includes covariates related to immune cells in the AML microenvironment. Here, an immune risk score was explored to predict the survival of patients with AML. Experimental Design: We evaluated the predictive accuracy of several in silico algorithms for immune composition in AML based on a reference of multi-parameter flow cytometry. CIBERSORTx was chosen to enumerate immune cells from public datasets and develop an immune risk score for survival in a training cohort using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator Cox regression model. Results: Six flow cytometry–validated immune cell features were informative. The model had high predictive accuracy in the training and four external validation cohorts. Subjects in the training cohort with low scores had prolonged survival compared with subjects with high scores, with 5-year survival rates of 46% versus 19% (P & lt; 0.001). Parallel survival rates in validation cohorts-1, -2, -3, and -4 were 46% versus 6% (P & lt; 0.001), 44% versus 18% (P = 0.041), 44% versus 24% (P = 0.004), and 62% versus 32% (P & lt; 0.001). Gene set enrichment analysis indicated significant enrichment of immune relation pathways in the low-score cohort. In multivariable analyses, high-risk score independently predicted shorter survival with HRs of 1.45 (P = 0.005), 2.12 (P = 0.004), 2.02 (P = 0.034), 1.66 (P = 0.019), and 1.59 (P = 0.001) in the training and validation cohorts, respectively. Conclusions: Our immune risk score complements current AML prediction models.

    Abstract: Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides favor the formation of a variety of excitonic quasiparticles, and can serve as an ideal material for exploring room-temperature many-body effects in two-dimensional systems. Here, using mechanically exfoliated monolayer WS 2 and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, exciton emission peaks are confirmed through temperature-dependent and electric-field-tuned PL spectroscopy. The dependence of exciton concentration on the excitation power density at room temperature is quantitatively analyzed. Exciton concentrations covering four orders of magnitude are divided into three stages. Within the low carrier concentration stage, the system is dominated by excitons, with a small fraction of trions and localized excitons. At the high carrier concentration stage, the localized exciton emission from defects coincides with the emission peak position of trions, resulting in broad spectral characteristics at room temperature.

    Abstract: We aimed to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of lixisenatide in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, ClinicalTrials.gov, Google, Web of Science and the Chinese Science Citation Database were searched up to March 2018. Randomized controlled trials determining the efficacy and safety of lixisenatide in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were eligible for inclusion. Two authors independently extracted the data in a prespecified Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. A meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 software. Weighted mean difference (WMD) and relative risk (RR) together with their corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were estimated, and only the random effects model was used in order to achieve a more conservative estimate of the efficacy and safety. Results: Fourteen multicenter randomized controlled trials involving 11,947 patients were eligible for inclusion. Compared to placebo, lixisenatide could more significantly reduce the level of HbA1c (WMD=-0.44; 95% confidence interval [CI] [-0.55,-0.33] ), and a higher proportion of lixisenatide-treated patients achieved the HbA1c level of  〈  7.0% (RR = 1.89, 95% CI [1.75–2.03]) and  〈  6.5% (RR = 3.03, 95% CI [2.54–3.63]) than the placebo-treated patients. Lixisenatide was also associated with a significant reduction in fasting plasma glucose and 2-hour postprandial plasma glucose levels. The risks for any adverse events, gastrointestinal adverse events, and symptomatic hypoglycemia significantly increased in the lixisenatide-treatedment group compared to those in the placebo group. However, lixisenatideit did not increase the risks of serious adverse events, death, or severe hypoglycemia. Conclusions: Lixisenatide was more effective than placebo in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and the mild-to-moderate adverse events were found to be tolerated during the follow-up.

    Abstract: Current approaches to orbit reconstruction are based on the assumption of facial symmetry and surgeons’ experiences, and the reconstructed orbits are not precise. Through computer-assisted volumetric quantitative analysis, the volume of the bony orbit, and the volume of the soft tissues in both the anophthalmic orbit and the contralateral orbit are calculated in 39 anophthalmic patients. The rib graft is used for orbit reconstruction; the dosalis pedis flap and lipo-injection were used for soft tissue reconstruction and skin socket reconstruction. The size and the shape of the rib graft and soft tissues were designed according to the volumetric analysis. The size and the shape of the skin socket were designed according to measurement during surgery. Asymmetry eye sockets with adequate size were created in the 37 patients. Two patients presented with a poor asymmetry with the contralateral orbit, and got gradual extrusion of the eye prosthesis 4 months after operation, which was because of necrosis of the flaps. The flaps were remedied by frontal island flap and skin grafting. Further surgeries, such as lipoinjection, lid surgery, and canthoplasty, were applied to improve the surgical results. The eye prostheses fitted well in all of the reconstructed sockets using this technique. Our studies suggest that the computer-assisted volumetric analysis technique combined with quantitative bone graft and dorsalis pedis flap transfer, ± lipoinjection proved to be an accurate method and a quality assurance for optimization of bony orbit, soft tissue and skin socket reconstruction, and promised a successful postoperative outcome for patients’ functional and esthetic appearance.

In order to stand the bitter force environment put to use the centering assembly technology to ensure the image quality of the optical system. Design the different damping coefficient rubber-bearing isolation that assimilate the big level shock energy. At first, by the Pro/e software establish the three-dimensional model and use the ANSYS software simulate and analysis the result of the design. We want to apple the Sigfit software to simulate the effect that the vibration and shock affect on the MTF of the optical system. After optimize the design theory so as to attain the optimized result. By the experiment test the lenses about the accommodate ability, the result which can meet the shock of5000g.and 20g random vibration, camera can work effectively. This kind of design technology is mature and reliable and live through the examination under all kinds of environment, this design method is provided the reference for the design and development of optical mechanism production.

    Abstract: To investigate the diagnostic value of multimodal ultrasound imaging composed of conventional ultrasonography (US), contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS), and shear wave elastography (SWE) for liver tumors. Between October 2017 and October 2019, US, CEUS, and SWE examinations of a total of 158 liver tumors in 136 patients at The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University were performed. The histopathological or imaging diagnostic results were used as controls to evaluate the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of US, CEUS, SWE, and multimodal ultrasound imaging, which combines these 3 modes, in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant liver tumors. Among the 158 tumors, there were 64 benign tumors, including 55 cases of hepatic hemangioma, 3 cases of focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver, 4 cases of hepatic cyst, and 2 cases of focal nonuniform distribution of fat in the liver. There were 94 malignant tumors, including 32 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma, 22 cases of intrahepatic cholangiocellular carcinoma, 29 cases of metastatic liver cancer, and 11 cases of dysplastic nodules in cirrhotic liver. In the diagnosis of benign and malignant liver tumors, the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were 82.56%, 68.06%, 75.96%, 75.53%, and 76.56% for US; 92.39%, 86.36%, 89.87%, 90.43%, and 89.06% for CEUS; 87.14%, 76.81%, 82.91%, 82.98%, and 82.81% for SWE; and 97.85%, 95.38%, 96.83%, 96.81%, and 96.88% for multimodal ultrasound imaging, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were all significantly higher for multimodal ultrasound imaging than those values for US, CEUS, and SWE (all P   〈  .05). The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve for US, CEUS, SWE, and multimodal ultrasound imaging in the diagnosis of benign and malignant liver tumors were 0.760, 0.897, 0.829, and 0.968, respectively. US, CEUS, and SWE all have diagnostic value in the diagnosis of benign and malignant liver tumors. Multimodal ultrasound imaging could significantly increase the accuracy of the diagnosis of benign and malignant liver tumors and has higher value for clinical application.

    Abstract: Optical equipments especially those for aerospace application are expected to work over a wide temperature range. The change of temperature could cause the refractive index change of infrared glass elements. Furthermore, it would lead to the defocus of the image surface and the performance degradation, so the method of temperature compensation must be adopted, which could make sure that optical system would adapt to the change of ambient temperature. A method of temperature compensation with mechanical passive compensation is briefly described, and an example is also given. The quality of image could be optimized through mechanical passive compensation,depending on the differences of metal and non-metallic thermal expansion coefficient. The results show that the optical system works stablely in the designed temperature range. It is of great importance to the athermalisation design of infrared optical system.

    Abstract: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and hypertension (HT) are the two most common underlying diseases worldwide, and they often coexist. The long-term existence of both may lead to left ventricular dysfunction. Therefore, evaluating the cardiac function of T2DM patients with HT is vital to guide treatment and improve prognosis. Left ventricular pressure strain loops (LVPSL) combine left ventricular strain and afterload, which can quantify left ventricular energy expenditure and detect left ventricular subclinical systolic dysfunction. Many studies have focused on myocardial work (MW) in uncomplicated T2DM patients or simple HT patients, but a few have focused on T2DM patients with HT. Objective:: The study aimed to evaluate the MW changes in T2DM patients with HT using LVPSL and to find independent related factors of MW parameters. Methods:: 40 T2DM patients, 35 HT patients, 40 T2DM patients with HT (T2DM+HT group), and 35 controls were enrolled. The differences between clinical data, conventional ultrasound parameters, and MW parameters were analyzed among the four groups. Results:: The global longitudinal strain (GLS) of the T2DM group, HT group, and T2DM+HT group was lower than the control group (P 〈 0.05). The global work index (GWI) and global constructive work (GCW) in the T2DM group were lower than other groups (P 〈 0.05). The GWI of the HT group was higher than other groups (P 〈 0.05), while GCW was only higher than the T2DM group and T2DM+HT group (P 〈 0.05). The GWI and GCW of the T2DM+HT group were higher than the T2DM group and were lower than the HT group(P 〈 0.05), while there was no significant difference with the control group. HT group and T2DM+HT group had higher global work waste (GWW) (P 〈 0.05). The global work efficiency (GWE) of the T2DM+HT group was lower than other groups (P 〈 0.05). Systolic blood pressure (SBP) and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) were independent factors of each MW parameter. Conclusion:: LVPSL can recognize left ventricular subclinical systolic dysfunction early in patients with T2DM and HT. Compared to simple T2DM or HT, the combination of T2DM and HT had greater damage to left ventricular systolic function. SBP and HbA1c are two factors that have a considerable impact on MW parameters. The impact of afterload on MW parameters should be paid more attention to.
