Abstract:
〈 p 〉 Introdução: a doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica (DPOC) caracteriza-se por limitação persistente aos fluxos aéreos e sintomas de 〈 br / 〉 intensidade variáveis tais como dispneia, tosse expectoração. A DPOC concorre para elevada limitação funcional, retração social 〈 br / 〉 e redução da qualidade de vida dos pacientes. A escala LCADL (London Chest Activity of Daily Living) avalia o impacto da dispneia 〈 br / 〉 para a realização de atividades de vida diária dos pacientes. Objetivo: examinar o impacto da dispneia na capacidade realização das 〈 br / 〉 atividades de vida diária (AVD’s) em pacientes com DPOC admitidos na clínica escola de Fisioterapia da UFBA. Metodologia: estudo 〈 br / 〉 de corte transversal. Todos os indivíduos responderam a um questionário sociodemográfico e a escala LCADL. Foram mensurados 〈 br / 〉 peso, altura, e Índice de Massa Corpórea (IMC). Realizada análise predominantemente descritiva e as informações armazenadas no 〈 br / 〉 software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Resultados: foram avaliados 37 pacientes, com média de idade 66,8 ± 7,6 anos, 〈 br / 〉 predominantemente do sexo feminino 21(57%), IMC de 24,8 ± 5; os pacientes apresentaram doenças associadas como: Hipertensão 〈 br / 〉 Arterial Sistêmica (HAS) 12(32%), asma em 3(8%), diabetes mellitus 1 em 2(5%), bronquiectasia em 2(5%), cardiopatias em 3(8%), 〈 br / 〉 osteoporose em 1(2,7%), gastrite em 1(2,7%), labirintite em 3(8%) dos pacientes. No total da escala LCADL os pacientes apresentam 〈 br / 〉 dispneia leve para realização das AVD’s com maior impacto 23,8 ± 10,7 para a realização das atividades físicas 4,2 ± 1,6 seguindo o 〈 br / 〉 corte estabelecido de 0-25 pontos com limitação leve. Conclusão: identificado leve limitação das AVD’s na escala LCADL que está 〈 br / 〉 associado aos pacientes com maior dispneia, IMC normal, sexo feminino, escolaridade fundamental, nos ativos e menores de 60 anos. 〈 /p 〉
