Zahlreiche, meist quantitative Studien attestieren Schülerinnen ein geringeres Interesse an und Wissen in der Domäne Wirtschaft. Vermeintliche Defizite werden jedoch selten hinterfragt. Dies führt zu der Frage, wie geschlechtsspezifischen Disparitäten in der schulischen Ökonomischen Bildung begegnet werden kann. Dabei wird eine Untersuchung zugrunde gelegt, in der sich Schüler*innen der Oberstufe forschend mit Ökonomie auseinandersetzen. Ein Ergebnis der qualitativen Untersuchung zeigt, dass die gendersensible Auswahl von Inhalten bedeutsam ist. Dabei stellen im Rahmen der Untersuchung insbesondere wirtschaftliche Themen mit Bezug zu sozialer Nachhaltigkeit für Schülerinnen Zugänge dar, sich Ökonomische Bildung forschend zu erschließen.
