Die Geschichte des Jüdischen Kulturbunds ist eins der bewegendsten, wahnwitzigsten und zugleich immer noch unbekanntesten Kapitel vom Leben der deutschen Juden im Dritten Reich. Acht Jahre lang (gegründet im Herbst 1933) organisierte der Jüdische Kulturbund ein vielseitiges Veranstaltungsprogramm, von Juden für Juden. Am 11. September 1941 viel der letzte Vorhang. An diesem Tage wurden die Kulturbund-Bühnen geschlossen, der Kulturbund aufgelöst. Dann begannen die Deportationen, mit denen die letzten Juden in die Konzentrationslager verschleppt wurden. Der Vernichtung entgegen.
