Welche Bedingungen, Formen und Funktionen zeichnen das Code-Switching, d. h. den Wechsel zwischen den Sprachen Deutsch und Chinesisch, aus? Inwieweit geht mit dem Code-Switching auch ein Script-Switching, d. h. ein Wechsel zwischen den Schriftsystemen des Deutschen und des Chinesischen, einher, und wie gestaltet sich die systematische Anwendung beider Ressourcen einzeln und kombiniert? Welche funktionalen Differenzen können zwischen Code- und Script-Switching aufgewiesen werden? Diesen Fragen geht die vorliegende Studie nach. Mithilfe von konversationsanalytischen und interaktionallinguistischen Methoden lassen sich die sich aus dem Zusammenspiel des Code-Switchings und des Script-Switchings ergebenden Kombinationsmöglichkeiten in der digitalen Schriftlichkeit erarbeiten und formal sowie funktional beschreiben. Erstmalig wird für die Beschreibung der formalen Eigenschaften des Code-Switchings und/oder Script-Switchings ein Beschreibungsmodell entwickelt. Das funktionale Potential des Code-Switchings mit oder ohne Script-Switching lässt sich mit den diskurs- und teilnehmerbezogenen Funktionen erfassen. Das Script-Switching, das mit oder ohne Code-Switching auftreten kann, spiegelt den kreativen Umgang von Schreiber*nnen mit der Schrift wider.
