Abstract: 'Qualitative Daten stellen eine reichhaltige und oft unausgeschöpfte Quelle von Forschungsmaterial dar. Trotzdem werden sie selten einer erneuten Analyse unterzogen. Die Analyse einer deutschlandweiten Befragung qualitativer Forscher/innen zeigt, dass mit dieser neuen, noch unvertrauten Forschungsstrategie Sekundäranalyse einige Probleme und offene Fragen verbunden werden. Auf der methodologischen Ebene werden die Spezifität sowie die Kontextgebundenheit qualitativer Forschung als Einwände gegen die Sekundäranalyse vorgebracht. Auf der forschungsethischen Ebene wird eine Gefährdung der sich im Interview konstituierenden vertraulichen Beziehung zum Forschungssubjekt befürchtet. Des Weiteren spielen auch Konkurrenzüberlegungen eine Rolle, wenn es darum geht, eigene Daten für eine Sekundäranalyse bereitzustellen.
