Provenienz: Das Stammbuch des Germanisten Philipp Witkop (1880-1942) und seines Sohnes Bernhard Witkop (1917-2010), der Schüler des Chemie-Nobelpreisträgers Heinrich Wieland (1877-1958) war und ab 1947 in Harvard lehrte, erhielt die Universitätsbibliothek München im Februar 2001 als Geschenk. Im Stammbuch finden sich unter anderem Autographen von Thomas Mann (1875-1955), Hermann Hesse (1877-1962), Stefan Zweig (1881-1942) oder Ricarda Huch (1864-1947)
