Vielen wohlbekannt ist Klaus Kordons "Trilogie der Wendepunkte", die das Schicksal einer Berliner Arbeiterfamilie in den Jahren 1918/19, 1932/33 und 1945 eindrucksvoll schildert. Der letzte Band (vgl. BA 11/93), dessen Hauptfigur, die 12-jährige Änne, mit ihrer Familie die von Angst, Streitigkeiten und Tod, aber auch von Mut und Hoffnung begleitete Zeit kurz vor und unmittelbar nach Kriegsende erlebt, diente als Vorlage für den vorliegenden Comic-Roman. Die Buchhändlerin und Literaturwissenschaftlerin G. Althoff bewältigte die schwere Aufgabe, über 500 Seiten Text in ein Comic-Szenario zu verdichten, mit Bravour. Der Designer Christoph Heuer schaffte es, das Ganze in klar konturierte, oft mit starken Licht- und Schatteneffekten arbeitende Schwarz-Weiß-Bilder eindrucksvoll umzusetzen. Dieser Comic, dem Kordon selbst in einem Geleitwort mitgab: "... Was da entstanden ist, ist authentisch. Sie haben die Zeit, die Stadt und die Menschen ... lebendig gemacht.
