Ziel der Studie war es, Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede beim Übergang der Mädchen und Jungen von der Schule in die Berufswelt nach der Wende zu erfassen. Die generell im Zuge der deutsch-deutschen Vereinigung zu konstatierende Verstärkung der Benachteiligung von Frauen in den neuen (und alten) Bundesländern in allen gesellschaftlichen Bereichen sollte konkret in ihren spezifischen Wirkungen auf die Ausbildungssituation von Mädchen und Jungen im Land Brandenburg untersucht werden. Gegenstand der Studie war in diesem Zusammenhang primär, die Reaktionen der Mädchen und Jungen auf die Veränderungen des Ausbildungsmarktes zu ermitteln, sowie die Beratungsangebote und die Berufsorientierung der Lehrer/innen und Berufsberater/innen qualitativ zu untersuchen. Im Ergebnis der Analyse werden Empfehlungen für eine geschlechtsspezifische Berufsberatung und -orientierung abgeleitet, die der Benachteiligung der Mädchen bei der Ausbildungseinmündung entgegenwirken. Gliederung: TEIL I: "Azubi, männlich, 18 Jahre, mit Abitur und Führerschein gesucht!" - Die Entwicklung der Brandenburger Ausbildungssituation nach der Wende (1. Die Verstärkung des geschlechtsspezifisch segmentierten Ausbildungs- und Arbeitsmarktes 2. Berufswahlverhalten und Lebensansprüche von Mädchen und Jungen). - TEIL II: Geschlechterrollen - (K)ein Thema für Lehrer/innen im schulischen Berufsorientierungsprozeß. - TEIL III: "Ich hätte mir irgendwie ne Beratung besonders als Mädchen gewünscht..." - Qualität und Ansprüche an die Berufsberatung in den Arbeitsämtern. - Methoden und Datengrundlagen der Studie. - Adressen und Arbeitshilfen.
