Rezension: Die insgesamt 19 Einzelbeiträge des vorliegenden Bandes (zunächst veröffentlicht in dem Heft "Die Kelten. Fürsten, Druiden, gallische Krieger ...", Heft 5/2017 der Reihe "Spiegel Geschichte") werfen ein facettenreiches Licht auf die eisenzeitliche Kultur und Geschichte der Kelten, die zwischen 700 v.Chr. und der Zeitenwende weite Teile Europas besiedelten und prägten. Unter Berücksichtigung moderner Forschungsergebnisse werden archäologische, keltologische und sprachwissenschaftliche Aspekte diskutiert und anschaulich und gut verständlich vermittelt. Die Beiträge des 1. Kapitels widmen sich übergeordneten Fragestellungen, Kapitel 2 und 3 konzentrieren sich auf Alltag und Kultur der Kelten. Das abschliessende Kapitel 4 beschäftigt sich mit dem keltischen Einfluss auf die Britischen Inseln. Chronik, Literaturhinweise und ein Personenregister schliessen den gut lesbaren Band ab. - Weniger fundiert und systematisch als B. Maier ("Die Kelten", 2015), aber leichter zugänglich und somit für ein gröe︢res Publikum. Breit einsetzbar und empfohlen. (2 S)
