Unter E-Sport (elektronischer Sport) versteht man den sportlichen Wettkampf in einem Computerspiel. Dieser erfreut sich steigender Beliebtheit, sowohl bei den aktiven Spielern als auch bei den Zuschauern. Professionelle E-Sportler werden Pro-Gamer genannt, die an der Spitze 6-stellige Beträge im Jahr verdienen. Der Journalist und Videospielexperte von Au (bisher nicht angezeigt) beschreibt in 9 Kapiteln Themen wie die Geschichte des E-Sports sowie die wichtigsten Spiele. Hauptinhalt ist die Beschreibung des Alltags der professionellen E-Sportler, z.B. Training, Freizeit oder Verdienst. Zudem werden 3 berühmte Pro-Gamer in ausführlichen Spielerporträts vorgestellt. E-Sport wird hier generell positiv dargestellt, aber auch Gefahren und Schattenseiten werden erwähnt. Sprachlich wird sich an Jugendliche ab ca. 12 Jahren gerichtet. Illustrationen sucht man, bis auf kleine Spielerporträts, vergebens. Das ansprechende Cover zeigt eine Pro-Gaming-Maus. Das Buch wird (v.a. bei Jungs) auf Nachfrage stoßen.
