Rez.: Das 1. Bild lässt in ein Zimmer blicken, in dem ein Mädchen Cello spielt, vorm Fenster segelt ein Papierflieger vorbei (wie er gefaltet wird, ist auf der Seite davor skizziert). Auf dem 2. Bild ist eine Hausfront zu sehen mit vielen Fenstern, aus einem schickt ein Junge jede Menge solcher Flieger in die Luft. Oder: Auf einer dottergelben Seite ein winziges Dreieck (in weißem Kreis), auf der nächsten ein Küken - es hat mit seinem Schnäbelchen die Seite (wie eine Eierschale) durchgepickt. Erst auf den 2. Blick also, begreifen wir, erkennt man eine Sache ganz - und das ist ja auch das, was der (bemerkenswert hölzerne) Titel meint. Von hinten und vorn, innen und außen, oben und unten, kopfüber kopfunter (wie steht's damit eigentlich in down under?): Aus den verschiedensten Blickwinkeln zeigen die in Schwarz-Weiß-Grau gehaltenen Bilder mit punktuell eingesetzten farbigen Effekten alltägliche Szenen und erzählen dabei, ganz ohne Worte, kleine Geschichten mit überraschenden Wendungen.
