Mit dem risikowirtschaftlichen Modell verfolgen die Autoren das Ziel, den gesamtwirtschaftlichen Zusammenhang zwischen Unternehmensfinanzierung, Kapitalstockbildung, Einkommensbildung und Beschäftigung herauszuarbeiten. Ausgehend von der Frage, unter welchen Bedingungen die Kapitalstruktur eines Unternehmens für das ökonomische Ergebnis relevant ist, wird eine in dieser Form bislang einzigartige modelltheoretische Trennung zwischen eigen- und fremdfinanzierter Produktion vorgenommen. Im Zentrum stehen dabei die Preisbildungsprozesse am Vermögensmarkt, die den Akteuren je nach Finanzierungsart unterschiedliche Handlungsstrategien eröffnen. Mit der risikowirtschaftlichen Analyse wird ein Konzept bereitgestellt, das aktuelle Preisbildungsphänomene auf den Kapitalmärkten, einschließlich der zu beobachtenden Über- und Unterbewertungen an den Aktienmärkten, transparent macht und deren Bezug zur Kapitalstockbildung und den übrigen ökonomischen Variablen zu analysieren erlaubt
