Nach einem Essay von Nadine Olonetzky zu den Folgen von Kriegen erläutert der Journalist Daniel Wechlin die politisch-historischen Hintergründe. Der Schriftsteller Michail Schischkin erzählt vom Untergang und Wiederaufbäumen des Sowjetimperiums. Und Fred Ritchin, Spezialist für Dokumentarfotografie, zeigt die Chancen und Grenzen der Reportagefotografie heute auf.
