Pit ist eine rote Raupe. Polli eine blaue Raupe. Beide sind beste Freunde und machen alles gemeinsam. Eines Tages wird Pit ganz müde. Er spannt eine seidige Hängematte und schläft ein. Leider stellt sich bald heraus, dass sich alle roten Schmetterlinge bei den Disteln aufhalten, während sich die blauen bei den Mohnblumen tummeln. Müssen sich die beiden Freunde nun tatsächlich trennen? - Eine wunderbare Geschichte mit farbenfrohen, fröhlichen und kindgerechten Bildern zum Thema "Freundschaft". Dabei geht es darum, ob man noch zusammen bleiben kann, obwohl man unterschiedlich aussieht und die jeweiligen Gruppen getrennt voneinander leben.
