Mit diesem Band würdigt Basel die deutsch-schweizerische Künstlerin und Lyrikerin M. Oppenheim (1913 geboren in Berlin, 1985 gestorben in Basel; vgl. zuletzt "Meret Oppenheim - Retrospektive", ID-G 18/13), deren Leben mit der Stadt Basel eng verwoben war, pünktlich zu ihrem 100. Geburtstag. Ganze 15 Beiträge der Autoren aus der Schweiz, die aus unterschiedlichen Fachgebieten kommen, beinhaltet der schmale, broschierte Band mit ungewöhnlich durch rote Streifen betonter Bindung (mehrere Beiträge sind von S. Baur und einige von Ch. Fluri - beide Herausgeber und Journalisten in der "bz Basel"). Neben zentralen Themen wie "Oppenheim und Surrealismus", "Natur und Werk", "Oppenheim und Feminismus" findet man hier auch weniger bekannte wie "Oppenheim und Basel", "Druckgrafik", "Brunnen", "Chiffrenschriften".
