Vor dem Hintergrund der durch eine Äußerung Horst Sindermanns in einem Spiegel-Interview (Nr. 19/1990) wiederaufgelebten Diskussion um die direkte Beteiligung der DDR bzw. der NVA bei der CSSR-Invasion im August 1968 - Sindermann verneinte eine derartige Beteiligung - wird auszugsweise ein Interview mit Kirill Masurow dokumentiert, das in der Zeitschrift "Argumenty i fakty" (Nr. 21, 1990) erschienen ist. Masurow alias General Trofimow, 1957-1965 Erster Sekretär des ZK der KP Weißrußlands und Kandidat, 1965-1978 Vollmitglied des KPdSU-Politbüros, war als Oberbefehlshaber mit der Leitung der CSSR-Invasion betraut. Masurow verweist kurz auf die Gründe für die Entscheidung zur Invasion am 21. August 1968 und bestätigt zugleich Sindermanns Aussage, daß die DDR-Truppen nicht direkt an der Invasion beteiligt, sondern an der Grenze im Bereich von Dresden konzentriert waren. (BIOst-Klk)
