Fiebrig, versponnen und schrill, bisweilen sachlich registrierend, leise komisch oder tastend meditativ: Die vorliegende Auswahl an deutschsprachigen Kurzfilmen von Frauen aus den letzten 50 Jahren ist vielseitig - so wie ihre Macherinnen selbst. Oft waren es produktionstechnische Gründe, die sie dazu bewogen, auf große Budgets und Teams zu verzichten und den vermeintlichen "Mangel" in phantasievolle Filmstile zu verwandeln und zu perfektionieren. Bei den vorliegenden Kurzfilmen aus Ost- und Westdeutschland handelt es sich sowohl um künstlerische Werke als auch um bedeutsame Zeugnisse der Filmgeschichte. [Cover]

Chica XX Mujer (2010): Isabell Šubas Film begleitet ein Mädchen in Venezuela bei ihrer Vorbereitung, um als "Prinzessin" auf ihrem 15. Geburtstag gefeiert zu werden. Im Land der meisten Schönheitsoperationen und "Miss Universe"- Siegerinnen ist dieser Weg jedoch steinig.
