Der neue Band der Schriftenreihe gibt einen Einblick in die vielfältigen Varianten der Temperierung und zeigt zudem wie kontrovers die Diskussion - auch international - geführt wird. - - Das übliche Heizen mit umgewälzter Raumluft, dazu gehört das Heizen mit Heizkörpern, Klimaanlagen oder Fußbodenheizungen, führt zu einer starken Verstaubung der Raumschale und zu einer Austrocknung der Raumluft. Natürlich ergeben sich daraus, besonders für Museen, Kapellen, aber auch für große Betriebsräume, erhebliche Nachteile: Verstaubung der Exponate und Kunstgegenstände und zusätzliche Kosten für Be- und Entfeuchtung. - - Doch mithilfe der Temperierung können diese Probleme umgangen werden. Das Beheizen der Gebäudehülle mittels der Wärmeleitung trocknet die erdberührte Bausubstanz und schützt die Raumschale vor Kondensat. Auch die Notwendigkeit einer Befeuchtung kann gänzlich entfallen. Aber welche Nachteile birgt die Temperierung? - - Im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts "Sammlungen erhalten: Die Temperierung als Mittel der Präventiven Konservierung - Eine Bewertung" veranstaltete die Landesstelle für die nichtstaatlichen Museen in Bayern im November 2012 die Tagung "Die Temperierung - Beiträge zum aktuellen Forschungsstand" im Kloster Benediktbeuern und lud Fachleute und Interessenten ein, sich über den aktuellen Entwicklungsstand der Temperierung zu informieren. - - Die Beiträge sind in diesem Band zusammengefasst und zeigen die - nicht immer kongruenten - Meinungen zur Temperierung auf
