Content:
„Überstrahlendes Lokalkolorit“ prägte den Eindruck der Biennale Venedig '82. Die Beleuchtung, die streckenweise (auch in der „aperto“) in den Farben Venedigs gewählt war, irritierte seinerzeit viele Besucher bei der Betrachtung der Exponate. Doch nicht nur das. Klaus Honnef beobachtete auf der Biennale einen „Sog der Reaktion". Insbesondere in der maßgeblich von Jean Clair verantworteten Schau im zentralen Pavillon scheine das Motto zu lauten: „Bloß keine, in irgendeiner Form mit der heutigen Realität verwickelte Kunst“. Stattdessen präsentiere man eine Kunst der "Kontinuität" und der "Beharrlichkeit" und vermeide dabei mit aller Entschlossenheit, dass die Kunst "aus ihrer spezifischen Sphäre" herauskatapultiert werde. Jonny Zurmühl hat die Biennale für KUNSTFORUM fotografiert, soweit dies unter den gegebenen Lichtverhältnissen möglich war. Seine Foto-Dokumentation erfasst auch den deutschen und den italienischen Pavillon.
