Dabei sind angesagtes Superfood wie Chia-Samen und Goji-Beeren, Bekanntes wie Kurkuma und Guave wie auch Ungewöhnliches wie Spazierstockkohl und Zuckerwurzel. Biggs (zuletzt "Das Praxis-Handbuch Garten", ID-B 19/16) beschreibt knapp, dabei gut verständlich. Wie gewohnt ist die DK-Ausstattung zu loben: Übersichtlich gestaltet mit Infoleisten, Zeichnungen und genauen, oft schönen ganzseitigen Fotos. Im Anhang: Bezugsquellen, Register. Manche seltene Gemüsesorten finden sich auch bei P. Collignon "Mehrjähriges Gemüse" (ID-A 9/18). Ein Vergnügen für experimentierfreudige Hobbygärtner.
