Punto conclusivo de una investigaciĂłn llevada a cabo en las ferias del libro de Alemania, España, MĂ©xico, Argentina y Brasil, este segundo volumen presenta por primera vez un compendio orgánico para un estudio del libro y de la ediciĂłn desde la perspectiva de sus eventos feriales. A partir de la articulaciĂłn de algunos presupuestos teĂłricos y metodolĂłgicos, la obra recompone el fenĂłmeno de la feria en torno a tres ejes: en su dimensiĂłn cultural, social y medial. Las contribuciones de investigadores procedentes de diversas áreas disciplinarias y geográficas, y los testimonios de profesionales de la ediciĂłn inquieren de forma complementaria sobre las funciones que las ferias del libro realizan como generadoras de todo tipo de polĂticas en la gestiĂłn, promociĂłn y difusiĂłn de valores dentro y fuera del campo editorial. Destaca tambiĂ©n el papel que ellas desempeñan para la internacionalizaciĂłn de mercados literarios –y la organizaciĂłn reflexiva de estrategias de diferentes actores y sujetos implicados–, además de su importancia como espacios de socializaciĂłn, de integraciĂłn de grupos y comunidades, de coexistencia de pĂşblicos diferentes, como eventos que conjuntan personas y contenidos en contextos estĂ©ticamente organizados. Al presentar este escenario diverso y complejo, el volumen tambiĂ©n plantea reflexiones sobre el presente y el futuro de las ferias del libro frente a los desafĂos actuales
