Serielles Erzählen hat Konjunktur – und zwar nicht allein im aktuellen Serienboom der audiovisuellen Medien. Nach wie vor spielen auch Buchserien im Alltag von Kindern und Jugendlichen eine wichtige Rolle. Serialität als narratives Formprinzip und Rezeptionsmuster für literarisches und mediales Lernen und die Leseförderung wahrzunehmen, heißt, eine Serialitätsdidaktik für den Deutschunterricht (weiter)zuentwickeln. Die Beiträge des vorliegenden Sammelbandes thematisieren kinder- und jugendliterarische Serialität in vielfältigen Perspektiven: als Medien der Lese- und literarischen Sozialisation, im Medienverbund, in Bezug zur Digitalisierung, als Phänomen der Populärkultur bis hin zu sprachdidaktischen Überlegungen. Die Bandbreite der vorgestellten seriellen Genres der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur gestattet didaktische Anschlüsse für alle Schulstufen.
